Mediation is a flexible, confidential, and voluntary method of alternative dispute resolution. An independent third party facilitates negotiations between two conflicting parties to help them come to a mutually agreeable solution.

Mediation is usually the least expensive and most satisfactory form of conflict resolution, and is applicable to commercial, community and family disputes. Family Courts in particular will often require mediation before allowing the parties to come to court.
